We are recruiting for a lovely charity, based in the city centre that strives to make a difference to the people whose lives they touch. A perfect role for an experienced events officer looking to work 21 hours a week on a maternity cover contract.

Working in a small friendly team you will be you will be marketing and delivering a diverse annual calendar of events and attracting new supporters and donors to this life changing charity.

You will be working closely with colleagues across the wider organisation and you will be highly organised, motivated and creative. Working under pressure to deadline will be your idea of an excellent day at work and most of all you will be 100% dedicated to growing the charity’s event and fundraising programme.

Among other things you will be:

Delivering the annual events calendar and working closely with third party providers
– Exploring new opportunites and evolving the charity’s current events
– Delivering bespoke corporate challenge events
– Attending key events and ensuring that all events have risk assesments, adhere to the law and health and safety measures
– Responsible for the design, print and creation of promotional materials
– Managing event budgets and working toward agreed targets and regularly reporting on performance

You will definitely be:

Degree level educated or equivelant
– Able to demonstrate previous experience of managing events
– Able to show experience of dealing with health and safety and risk assesments
– Able to show expereicne of liasing with external organisations
– Able to design and write engaging and creative resources
– An outgoing and tenacious individual with excellent verbal skills

Desirable:

– Professional Event Management qualification & Health and Safety qualification
– Experience of Indesign and ThankQ
– Knowledge of the not-for-profit and charity sector
– Previous experience working in charity
